2 1/2 cups (315 grams) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting surfaces
1/2 and 2 tablespoons (150 grams) granulated sugar
1 teaspoon table salt
2 sticks (225 grams, 8 ounces, or 1 cup) unsalted butter, very cold
1/2 cup water, very cold
spices of choice (I decided to go with the christmas mix and added cinnamon, nutmeg, fennel, clove...)

Mix flour, sugar, salt and spices in a bowl. Add softened butter and water and mix it all until it is all well incorporated and you get a ball of dough. Take that dough and put it either in refrigerator for 1-2 hour or deep freeze it for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven on 320F (160C). Roll out the dough and cut out the shapes.
Put it on oven paper and put in the oven for 15 minutes or until they start to brown. Take them out and enjoy!

With just two more weeks until Christmas it's time for getting into some serious Christmas traditions. One of them is watching Christmas movies. Some of them for the 100th time, and some for a 1000th time.
No matter how old you are, or how trashy this movies are, you can't not deny the smiles and memories they bring. So fasten your seat belts and microwave those popcorn 'cos we're ready to take of!

Every designer has something that appeals to him/her more than any other thing. Some like typography, some like textures, some like patterns, and I like packaging. Beautiful packaging combined with the best holiday of the year makes me tear with joy.
So I bring you the collection of beautiful Christmas packaging.

When I was a kid, I remember my grandma buying a stack of Christmas cards, wishing all the best from the entire family and sending them to the ones we love and cherish but are not able to be with us to celebrate Christmas. My favorite part, except licking and putting stamps on envelope, was waiting for the mailman to come and bring us cards from our loved ones. I loved the morning anticipation of the mailman, and I loved even more that that feeling lasted for few weeks. And then on the Christmas Eve, while we were decorating our tree, we would put all received card under the tree around the baby Jesus.

And then somewhere in my teens, with cell phones and computers, we lost that tradition. Not just our family, but our entire society. And that makes me sad.
